[The Dreamberry is seated next to Ada, who can be seen picking and studying flowers in the field. She looks rather happy about it, humming softly to herself.

While she has a number of different flowers gathered in a small bouquet at her side, she still seems determined.

I wonder what sort of flower Miss Vanessa would like.

[She hums thoughtfully to herself.]

I have to do something to thank her for agreeing to teach me.

[Her eyes finally rest on a beautiful red flower. The vibrant color of the flower makes her think of Vanessa in a way. It's an amaryllis, she remembers, after a long moment of thought.]

Maybe this one. I wonder if she'll like it. I hope so.

[Ada happily plucks the flowers, careful to preserve the stems the same way she watched Vanessa.]

So your preserving them to make them last longer? How is that done?

[identity profile] purethingsonly.livejournal.com 2011-06-16 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
Well, if kept, they'll dry out eventually. They become brittle and delicate, but they can still be kept and they'll still look lovely.

Or I suppose you could simply press them.

Why would you press them? I've been told to care for the plants instead of harming them by accident.

[Oh, was he a caretaker of sorts? Ada giggled.]

People do it for a number of different reasons I think. They can be beautiful like that too. When pressed, they can be framed and displayed too. It's not really harming them. It's kind of like... a creative art!

[She hasn't done that much of it, so it's harder to explain, but she hopes it's understandable.]

So it's a type of art that people would place on the walls?

[identity profile] purethingsonly.livejournal.com 2011-06-24 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmn! [She nods, happy that he seems to understand.] They can be very pretty.

Maybe I could do something like that for the young master.

Do you think I should do that?

[identity profile] purethingsonly.livejournal.com 2011-06-25 10:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh! You're a servant?

[Unlike some others, that fact didn't really change the way she looked at him.]

I think it's a great idea. You should try it. I'm sure it would be appreciated.

[identity profile] wantrobotgarden.livejournal.com 2011-06-26 08:28 am (UTC)(link)
Yes I am. I'm the Gardener of the Phantomhive estate.

I will. Thank you for giving me the idea.

[identity profile] purethingsonly.livejournal.com 2011-06-28 06:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh! Then I wish you the best!

[She nods enthusiastically.]
