[The Dreamberry is seated next to Ada, who can be seen picking and studying flowers in the field. She looks rather happy about it, humming softly to herself.

While she has a number of different flowers gathered in a small bouquet at her side, she still seems determined.]

I wonder what sort of flower Miss Vanessa would like.

[She hums thoughtfully to herself.]

I have to do something to thank her for agreeing to teach me.

[Her eyes finally rest on a beautiful red flower. The vibrant color of the flower makes her think of Vanessa in a way. It's an amaryllis, she remembers, after a long moment of thought.]

Maybe this one. I wonder if she'll like it. I hope so.

[Ada happily plucks the flowers, careful to preserve the stems the same way she watched Vanessa.]

Mm. That's what she said.

[And then there's that.] Miss Vanessa's really a very nice person, I just... think she isn't very good at showing her feelings. But... [Ada smiles.] Thank you.

[He had given her a compliment after all.]

[a light chuckle.] Oh I think she can show her feelings just fine.

They're just not always the nicer ones.

Though now I'm curious what she's like when she's not frowning all the time.

Well... I don't doubt that some of those emotions are real. [Including the violent ones.]

But like Elliot, I also think she has a softer side as well that she is just not as good at expressing. Sometimes her actions prove that more than her words.

It probably sounds strange, but I think she doesn't want anyone to know that she's really such a kind, gentle person at heart.

Nobles take their images pretty seriously. [In their families, and especially a large one like the Nightray family, there's a lot of pressure that even Ada is familiar with.]

[That was a good question.] Ah... well, yes. Although I think I still have a ways to go.

Or perhaps my expectations are simply high.

Society has lesser expectations for women of noble standing. But I... I have never fit into that prescribed role. I want to learn how to fight and defend what is really important to me.

So perhaps my expectations are high, but I simply have to try.
