Dream 01 ❀ "Wishing you were somehow here again"

Effects: A sense of longing and hopelessness that turns to a bit of anxiousness and excitement with a few moments of an unsure feeling.

[There's an odd scent in the air. Burning incense. Not a normal scent to burn either. What is it? You might not want to know. But there is a girl lighting candles in a dim little basement of a room with a hopeful smile on her fact that seems to like it. There are a number of materials scattered about.

Preparations for a summoning ritual.

There is something utterly dark and magical about the items and the preparations in general.]

I want to see him again...

[She doesn't say who at first, but he's foremost in her thoughts.]

Vincent...

[The sound of her voice is a bit unsure, and still it is longing.]

I have so many questions I want to ask you...

[And she goes back to her ritual, thinking to herself. It's not until the ritual is just about complete that she wakes up with a start.]

What. The. Hell. He couldn't even begin to voice just how wrong the whole dream seemed right from the start. First of all, was that one of the basements at Latowidge?! Some prefect she was! Incense and candles were both forbidden on the school grounds! Second--- He couldn't even---]

[Oh dear. And now Elliot had to ask questions as well and he... would not take it so well, even if they had been getting along a little better.

This... might just ruin that a little. Because for the life of her, while she pauses to try and think of some manner of excuse, it simply doesn't work. Ada can't think of anything that someone as intelligent as Elliot would believe.]

[They were lovers, so to have someone ask if she knew him was somewhat insulting. But then again... she had to remind herself that if it had not been for this place, the truth of that matter would probably have never seen the light of day.]

[Though she doubts that would make it any better in Elliot's eyes. And after they had finally started getting along... she truly didn't want that ridiculous family nonsense ruining it, but... then... that was up to Elliot, whether or not he let her name and association negate everything else up to this point.]

So now, of course there was a lump in her throat, painfully lodged there as she tried to speak - tried to think of a way to describe or explain, but really... how could she? It was exactly as it seemed.]
